On 15 August 2025, the Cambodian Librarians Association (CLA), in collaboration with the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP), successfully hosted the Digital Cataloguing and OPAC Management Workshop with 65 participants in attendance.
This full-day program brought together librarians, researchers, archivists, and educators to strengthen their expertise in cataloguing principles, MARC 21 practice, and classification systems (DDC and LCC), as well as managing special collections. Participants also explored OPAC integration with library websites and gained hands-on experience with AI tools for creative projects, research support, and library automation.
Led by Mr. Kim Chantraboth (Head of Library, RULE) and Mr. Sok Kimheng (Library Director, ITC), the workshop blended traditional cataloguing practices with cutting-edge digital tools — preparing Cambodian libraries for the future.
